Tendo Youth Home is a transitional home for children who reach 18 years of age and who, in accordance with Ugandan government policy, are required to leave the Lulwanda campus. At Tendo, these children reside in a house in the town of Mbale where they prepare to enter Ugandan society. For 2 years they develop “life skills” such as budgeting, shopping, cooking and using public transport under the supervision of loving house parents and weekly discipleship by Lulwanda’s discipleship pastor. These children continue their education while at Tendo by attending advanced secondary school or university classes.
